laundering? None of these, the industry in question here is human trafficking. This industry is that of human trafficking, or slavery for sexual gratification. With a targeted victim base of 1.2 children and teenagers you can see the scope of this is worldwide. One of the saddest statistics of human trafficking is that there are currently 49 countries sending these people into 91 cities in America. You know America as the land of the free but the victims know America as a prison. An even sadder statistic is the average age of these youngsters is just 13! That’s the average so consider what the age of the youngest of these victims will be. If you think this criminal activity is small time then consider that this vile crime pulls in an estimated $9.2 billion per year!

This fastest growing criminal industry in the world is defined by the United Nations as the recruiting, transporting, harboring, receiving and selling of victims for the purpose of prostitution, slavery, pornography, or sexual exploitation. It takes place through threat, coercion, fraud, abduction, deception, and abuse of power.
